Teacher Education in the Era of Globalization, Internationalization and Digital Transformation
Thai Nguyen University of Education – Thai Nguyen University is pleased to announce the 5th International Conference on Teacher Education Reform (ICTER 2026).
Since its establishment in 2018, ICTER has provided an academic forum for scholars, educators, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners from Vietnam and other countries to exchange research findings, professional experiences, and innovative approaches to teacher education.
In the context of globalization, educational internationalization, digital transformation, and the rapid development of artificial intelligence and educational technologies, teacher education institutions are required to undertake comprehensive reforms in their objectives, curricula, teaching approaches, governance, and professional development practices.
ICTER 2026 aims to promote academic exchange and international collaboration while contributing to the development of innovative, inclusive, digitally responsive, and sustainable teacher education.
Conference Topics
The Organizing Committee welcomes original research papers, theoretical studies, policy analyses, case studies, and practice-based contributions related to the following areas:
- Fundamental research supporting teacher education and professional development;
- International experiences and comparative perspectives in teacher education;
- Educational policy, school governance, and digital school development;
- Digital transformation in higher education and teacher education institutions;
- Artificial intelligence and educational technology in teacher education;
- Teacher competencies in the era of artificial intelligence;
- Education for sustainable development and environmental education;
- Internationalization policies and governance in teacher education;
- Teacher education and professional development for ethnic minority, mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas.

Important Dates
- Abstract and full-paper submission deadline: 30 August 2026
- Notification of acceptance: 18 September 2026
- Participation confirmation deadline: 25 September 2026
Submission and Publication
Submitted papers must present original research that has not previously been published in any journal, conference proceedings, or other academic publication.
All submissions will undergo an independent peer-review process. Papers that meet the academic and formatting requirements of the Conference will be considered for publication in the ICTER 2026 Conference Proceedings.
Full papers should not exceed eight A4 pages and must follow the official conference template and APA referencing style.
Papers may be written in English or Vietnamese. Papers written in English must include a Vietnamese title and abstract, while papers written in Vietnamese must include an English title and abstract.
Conference Fees
- Lead authors who are lecturers, doctoral candidates, or master’s students of Thai Nguyen University of Education: VND 1,000,000 per paper
- Other authors: VND 1,500,000 per paper
The conference fee covers participation, peer review, editing, and publication of the Conference Proceedings. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable, including cases in which a paper is not selected for publication.
